The PINS/LASER true-shape nesting system generates tightly-packed flat-pattern layouts that take full advantage of the industrial laser'sability to cut intricate shapes with a minimum HAZ (heat affected zone).Using common material codes and actual production requirements,PINS/LASER retrieves a random selection of part geometries from theuser's CAD database to create material-efficient nests and theappropriate NC code for an entire production run.Modular structure and optional software let users build a highlyintegrated manufacturing system. Options include native-mode graphicinterfaces, IGES and DXF graphics translators; inventory and remnantcontrol software, post-processors, NC tape translation capability,interfaces to support automatic material loading and unloading systems,MRP and DNC interfaces; plotting, labeling, and scribing operations, shopfloor control and job tracking system support; and custom integrationservices.
